Structural Design Services

As part of our structural design services we prepare structural drawings and specifications required for new construction as well as retrofit/restoration work. Our structural engineering services entail:

Review of available drawings, reports and other pertinent data relative to existing or new construction. Visit sites to observe existing conditions, if the drawings/information are not available. JWM may specify locations for exploratory probes and/or test-pits to be performed by others to expose additional areas of the existing structure or site for additional observations, as required. Review of effects on any existing structure of new loadings and any proposed load path changes. Design and detailing of foundations and superstructures for the proposed building. Production of structural construction drawings and specifications. Review shop drawings and submittals for work indicated on JWM drawings. Provide field visits and/or attend job meetings during construction.
